About
Hi, I’m Wendy.
I’ve worked on projects involving consumer electronics, assistive technology and medical devices. I’m excited to use human-centered design to build products that are functional, elegant, and improve people’s lives.
I’m currently a mechatronics engineer at SharkNinja, working on robotic vacuums. As part of the advanced development team, I work to quickly iterate to bring ideas from concept to functional prototypes, where they can be placed in front of consumers for testing.
Prior to that, I was a mechanical engineer at International Fabric Machines, workingje to develop functional fibers for use in wearables. There, I spent most of my time concentrating on developing a manufacturing process to move a new technology from R&D into manufacturing-at-scale, and the mechanical design of the machines necessary to produce smart fibers. I graduated from MIT in 2021 with a major in mechanical engineering and robotics concentration.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, making, and reading. Feel free to email me at wendywang (at) mit.edu if you’d like to chat :)
